Sunpentown Portable Evaporative Air Cooler Model: SF-608R This Evaporative Air Cooler is versatile, lightweight and economical. The Cooler easily rolls from room to room for use anywhere in your house or office. This Air Cooler shoots a stream of air with oscillating louvers, to evenly distribute refreshing cool air. The remote control allows you to easily change settings. The Air Cooler works by endothermic reaction (a reaction that consumes heat), so this evaporative Air Cooler sucks air through a wick saturated with water. As the air flows through the wick, some of the water evaporates into the air, consuming the heat that was in the air. An air stream is then blown out the front of the unit and is considerably cooler than the current room temperature! This is not an air conditioner and therefore uses much less energy. Note: This unit is NOT an air conditioner and does not have a compressor inside - air coolers will not lower a room's ambient temperature. Air coolers are designed for spot cooling. This unit is best used in dry climates with low humidity or open spaces. Leave window/door open to limit the rise of humidity and for better air ventilation in the room. Add as much ice as possible and set unit next to you for best effect. Please read the following information about evaporative air coolers. They are not for everyone and are not effective everywhere. We warrant our products to be defect free in material and workmanship for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of purchase. Defective products may be sent back by the original purchaser or any subsequent owner within the warranty period, with proof of purchase date to us.
Manufacturer covers freight (both ways) for repair within 1 month from date of purchase. After 1 month to 1 year, manufacturer covers the return freight to customer (one way).
Defective products will be repaired or replaced, at manufacturer's discretion, free of charge. All replacement parts or units will be new or reconditioned. Parts or units, which are replaced, become our property. Warranty after repair or replacement will not be extended beyond the original one-year period.
The warranty does not apply to any unit that has been tampered with, nor to damages incurred through improper use and care, faulty packing or mishandling by any common carrier.
What is NOT COVERED:
Warranty does not include freight charges. Buyer pays return freight to repair facility.(After first month)
Incidental or consequential damage caused by possible defects with this product.
Damage to product caused by improper power supply voltage, accident, fire, floods or acts of nature.
Failure of product resulting from unauthorized modifications to the product.
Improper installation or failure to perform the necessary maintenance.
Manufacturer's sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under this warranty are limited to such repair or replacement. This is a limited warranty and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other legal rights varying from state to state. RETURN POLICY Once water and ice have been placed into the unit, it is no longer returnable. The unit becomes a USED unit. Products may be returned within 30 days of receipt. Returned products must be in new/unused , fully functional, and undamaged condition. Returns must include the original box, packing materials, manuals, and accessories. All returns must have a return merchandise authorization number (RMA). SHIPPING AND HANDLING COSTS ( $36.00 for this unit ) ARE NOT REFUNDABLE AND THE PURCHASER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF THE RETURN SHIPPING. All returns will be inspected and we reserve the right to adjust the refund depending upon the condition of the returned product. To obtain a RMA number, please contact Wacky Hippo. Defective Products All defective products will be handled by the manufacturer under the terms of their product warranty. Damaged Shipments If your package arrives damaged, please contact Wacky Hippo within 24 HOURS of delivery to report any damages and arrange for a replacement. Sometimes damage from shipments may not be visible, so it is very important that you carefully check and test your new merchandise. If the damage is obvious upon delivery, you should refuse the shipment and note the damages to the driver. Damaged shipments cannot be returned for full refund or credit toward other products, only replacement of the same item. RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)
Once a RMA number is issued, the merchandise must be returned within 15 days. The RMA number expires after 15 days and will not be extended or renewed. You are responsible for all expenses associated with the return shipment of the product to us. You are also responsible for properly packing the product in its original packaging and including all product manuals, parts and accessories as well as insuring the value of the item. Any shipping damages that occur will be your responsibility to handle with the shipping agent. We reserve the right to adjust or deny a full refund of the purchase price if the product is not returned in this manner. All refused orders, etc will be charged 30% restock.
