Gorgeous! 12" Water Cooler

Late 19 th C. American Stoneware Water Cooler by Red Wing (likely) With gorgeous cobalt banding! Thick overglaze and simple-yet-elegant cobalt blue banding make this antique water cooler a lovable addition to your primitives’ décor! Featuring a brilliant, shining overglaze and wonderful aged patina, this crock retains its original metal spigot and gasket! Perfect for display, this piece is full of charm and charisma! This piece is unsigned but is likely American made from the turn of the 20 th Century. The piece bears significant resemblance to a dual stack 2-gallon set made by Red Wing of Minnesota. This is the base, and would have a top crock and matching lid. The spigot is signed on the ball valve “LANDERS FRARY & CLARK”. Landers, Frary, and Clark was founded in Connecticut in 1865 and were in business under that name for a hundred years. Condition: This stoneware crock is in EXCELLENT condition! The crock shows little wear and the overglaze is bright and cheery! The spigot turns. The surface has some nicks and dings that, in my opinion, enhance its presentation.
