This oil cooler adapter block kit gives you a simple easy way for plumbing an oil cooler to your engine.The gasket and bolts are included for installation. Adapter Features There are 10 fitting for the oil inlet/outlets as well as a port for the oil temperature sensor and oil feed line Machined from a single piece of 6061 aluminum and is then black hard coat anodized for additional durability Features: This oil cooler adapter kit is the slick way to add an oil cooler for GM LS or Gen-V LT engine. There are 10 fitting for the oil inlet/outlets as well as a port for the oil temperature sensor and oil feed line. The oil exiting the adapter is filtered oil and the oil feed port for accessories is oil returning from the cooler. The mounting holes are counter-bored so the mounting bolts fit flush with the adapter surface for maximum clearance with a reliable seal. Bolt-on in place of the factory oil bypass cover, just above the oil filter. Low-profile design provides more header clearance than any other oil cooler adapter on the market. Two 1/8" NPT ports for sensors or turbo oil supply line. Ideal for Engine Swaps & High Heat Applications. Note: The oil cooler adapter is after the factory pan mounted oil filter in the production oil circuit so oil going out to the oil cooler is filtered oil. This oil cooler adapter is designed to be used with an external oil cooler. If you are not using an external oil cooler LPE offers an adapter block kit with oil supply and sensor fittings that does not have the external oil cooler lines (LPE part#L300015297). Warning: You can’t plug the -10 oil lines on this adapter and run the engine. This adapter does not have an internal bypass passage inside of it. You must connect the -10 lines to an oil cooler or loop the lines back to the other port on the adapter or your engine will not have proper oil pressure and will be damaged. This gasket is fitted for GM LS engines. The gasket features for improved durability over the factory gasket. Uses the seals for improved durability over the factory silicone gasket when exposed to engine oil. This gasket is a must for LS bypass plate. Installation Instructions: Clean the block mounting surface area and then install the supplied gasket and oil cooler adapter block. Install the oil cooler adapter bolts and tighten the bolts. Use thread sealing compound on the sensor or sensor plug threads along with the adapter block bolt threads. If you are using this adapter on a vehicle that doesn’t have an oil temperature sensor or has the sensor mounted elsewhere, then you should plug the oil temperature sensor port with the supplied M12 plug and crush washer. If you are not using this adapter to supply oil to a turbocharger, supercharger or other application then you should plug the 1/8” NPT port with the supplied fitting. The oil temperature sensor port plug can be used to add an oil temperature sensor to vehicles that don’t already have an oil temperature sensor and gauge. The temperature reading at this location will be the engine out (pre-oil cooler) temperature.
